Perfect for pairing with the new Scotty's Everyday Pancake + Waffle mix! Easy to make and perfectly low carb.
ingredients:
- 2 1/2 Cups Water
- 3/4 Cup Erythritol Brown Sugar Replacer
- 1/3 Cup Erythritol Confectioners Sugar Replacer
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 1/4 tsps Xanthan Gum
- 3 Tbsp +1 tsp Maple Extract
- 1 tsp Butter Extract
- 1/4 tsp Vanilla Extract
instructions
- Place the water, brown erythritol, confectioner erythritol, and salt in a medium sized pot
- Place the pot on a burner on medium high heat
- Bring the contents to a low boil
- Turn down the heat and add the xanthan gum
- Whisk vigorously until well combined and there are no lumps
- Add the maple, butter, and vanilla extracts and stir well
- Remove from heat and allow to cool to room temp
- Once cooled, pour into maple syrup or canning jar
- Keep refrigerated
Syrup may crystalize over time. Simply pour some into a microwave safe bowl and warm up in the microwave to eliminate the crystals.
