No one can turn away a plate of biscuits & gravy and this recipe will surely have you going back for seconds! Best part of all is it's low carb, and keto approved!
ingredients:
- 1 package of scotty's everyday biscuit mix
- 1 pound of ground turkey sausage
- 2 cups of milk of choice (preferably thick in consistency)
- 1 tsp xanthan gum
- 1 tsp fresh thyme
- 1 sprig of rosemary
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 5 eggs
- 1/2 tbs butter
- 1/4 cup cheddar cheese
- 2 jalapenos
- 2 hot links,
instructions
- Preheat oven to 400° F
- Prepare biscuit mix per instructions.
- Sear the jalapeños and hot links until they are nicely browned, then cook ground turkey and set aside.
- Mix xanthan gum into the milk a little at a time, or with the help of an immersion blender.
- Heat together with the thyme, rosemary, salt, pepper, and sausage until hot.
- Scramble eggs in the butter over low heat, and mix in the cheese.
- Serve by topping your biscuits with the gravy and all the fixings.
